This is not necessary to access the app. That’s the advantage.
You can access it using your personal email address. All you need is a smartphone or laptop/PC, your first name, your surname and your registration key (don’t worry if you didn’t got one).
It goes without saying that EDR Antwerp Shipyard and UP2D8 do not exchange any other personal data with each other. Please note that when filling in your details, you can choose whether or not to show them to other users.

2. What if I don’t have a smartphone?
You don’t even need a smartphone. You can access the same information via your laptop/PC. To do so, go to up2d8.eu and click the log in button. Log in the same way as you would with a smartphone.

3. What if I don’t have a work phone?
You don’t need a work phone for this. You can install it on your personal smartphone or even your laptop/PC.

4. What happens to my information?
For EDR Antwerp Shipyard, it is crucial that personal data is protected in accordance with GDPR regulations. UP2D8 is a GDPR-compliant, closed platform where the EDR Antwerp Shipyard channel is only accessible to employees who have been authorised by the UP2D8 administrators at EDR Antwerp Shipyard. Any sensitive personal data is entered by the user themselves and can be made invisible by the user so that it cannot be seen by others.

5. What is the advantage of installing the app?
This app will keep you informed about what is happening in the company more quickly. You can stay up to date with what is happening during your breaks and even in your free time if you wish. The Covid-19 pandemic and the increasing popularity of working from home have taught us that it is important to be able to quickly inform our employees about decisions and what is going on within the company. Hence this new method of communication.

6. Can anyone post a message?
Posting is done by administrators. Everyone is kindly requested to pass on any company information that may be of collective interest to an administrator.

7. If someone finds out my login key, is there a risk that this person could hack my UP2D8 account?
No, the login key is only used to accept you immediately when you log in and add you to the correct user groups so that the administrators do not have to do this manually. The administrators can also see who has used which login key.
